family, family, family

We have had a weekend of family reunions. First we had the Newman reunion which is Jason's Grandma's family. It is up Hobble Creek canyon, and there are tons and tons of people there. Some of Jason's cousins came into town from California for the event. I really like his cousins, they are lots of fun and make me laugh.

So Jason's reunion was Friday night, then we took off Saturday morning to head to Pocatello, Idaho for one of my reunions. It was my Dad's brothers and their families. It was so good to see everyone. This is the first time we have had a reunion with these cousins. I haven't seen many of them in years. So it was great to get reacquainted. The brothers shared the memories they had of their parents. My Grandpa died when my Dad was just 9 years old in a car accident on December 23rd on the way to the temple. Since non of us grandchildren knew him, it was very interesting to learn more about him. Also about their memories of hearing about the accident and the Christmas 2 days later, and all the wonderful neighbors and family that helped my Grandma with 4 boys.

My Niece Shayla (isn't she beautiful!) She is 22 years old graduated from BYUI with her bachelors degree... if you know any cute boys... let me know!

It was a great weekend spent with family. I think we are still recovering from the lack of naps and the late nights (don't forget the laundry). But we had a great time and it was good to get away for a couple of days.
