The Move

The last few days we were in Pennsylvania were full of goodbyes.  We made so many wonderful friends there and miss them all so much.

Brady started playing the french horn at school... but since we were just renting the instrument, he had to turn it in and say goodbye to his wonderful teacher.  Unfortunately in our town they do not have orchestra or band in the elementary schools.  We will have to wait until middle school (which starts in 6th grade.. yikes!)

Brady was able to be part of an amazing Cub Scout troup in PA, we loooooved the leaders and the boys.  On the last den meeting they had a farewell party for Brady.  The boys each brought treats to share,  a card that they made for Brady, and the leaders bought him a gift with a compass and headlamp.

We were the last to leave the room, and walked out and the entire troop had lined the hallway to give Brady the scout solute on his way out the door... it was amazing.  I totally had tears, he is really missing these boys and leaders.

Our last night our friends Eugena and Seth were nice enough to have us over for dinner.  Brady and Bryce have such a great time with their little boys.  Here is Brady and Fisher

After a 12 hour drive, we arrived at our house in Indiana around midnight thursday night.  Friday we got the boys registered for school and the moving truck arrived.  We spent all weekend unloading with the help of some mutual friends.  Monday morning the boys had their first day at the new school and Jason started his new job.

Within the first few days of being in the house we had several neighbors bring treats over to welcome us to the neighborhood.  We have been really lucky with this move, the neighborhood is amazing.  So many have helped us a ton with the yard and lots of kids for the boys to play with!

That scout salute was pretty much the cutest thing ever. Glad those Indiana-ers seem just as nice...?
